We are making some much needed improvements to the Town of Chalmers. We are taking a "proactive" approach to upgrade our infrastructure. These upgrades mean "change" and we know many people don't like change.
Water Project: This was a huge undertaking and we are in the final stages. The project should be wrapped up by the the end of July.
Park: The new Well House is almost complete. Cleanup at the Park is also underway. The dirt, sand, and gravel piles are being removed, materials cleaned up and restoration of the grass is being done just in time for summer!
Walnut Street/new Water Mains: F&K is back in town to finish the last of their work including restoration of residents' yards along Walnut Street, concrete and road repairs, and connecting the last main between East St and Chestnut St
Pole Replacement: IMPA was contracted to replace 17 poles (remove 1) that had deteriorated and could potentially cause power outages and/or property damage. This project should be completed by 5/17/24.
Thank you to all the residents of Chalmers for being patient and allowing our town to grow and change for the better.
